The bathtub is here to stay!
There was a time when bathtubs were thought about as luxury items, only found in hotels. Today, even with a shower installed right next to it, every home has at least one tub, if not more. They have anchored themselves into our existence and became a vital part of our daily cleaning rituals. We use them to soak our pets, laundry or anything else that won't fit in the sink and, surrounded by a dozen lit candles and bowls of fragrant oils, we find it a great place to relax. Aches, pains and worries literally drain away as the hot water disappears at the end of a session.
Bathtubs come in every conceivable shape, size and colors. They are made of a variety of materials, and offer a number of special features. Shall we enjoy the soothing effects alone or with a romantic partner? How much available space is there in the bathroom? How easy is it to get into and out of the tub? Not all of us are giants or spring chickens and have to consider all the features a bathtub brings along, before heading to the store to buy one.
When selecting a bathtub for our own personal use we have to evaluate the comfort level we are seeking. In a whirlpool bath, multiple jets will reach deep to stimulate the muscles, promoting tissue flexibility and furthermore increase blood circulation. Hydro system whirlpools bring soothing therapeutic relief, which can be enhanced by a Thermal Air System. Despite architectural limitations armrests can be built in, as well as and a contoured back support system.
Bathtubs are made from materials like Porcelain on Steel, Acrylic, Fiberglass/Gelcoat, Composite, Cast Iron, and Cultured Marble. They can be manufactured in an enclosed style or can be freestanding, and with or without features such as Victoria Double Slipper craw feet. Designers have created pieces influenced by ancient history, Asian, Western or European cultures or have used the most extraordinary fixtures to keep it simple yet stylish.
So you see, it really does not matter if your tub has built-in jets or came with a small apron front, nor is it important why you take that daily dive, be it for hygienic, religious, therapeutic or recreational activities. All that matter is that we need a special place to get clean. So! Yes my friend. with or without those spunky bubbles, the tub is here to stay!
